We engaged PK Stroy Builders to construct a 2 story extension comprising of an integral garage, kitchen, reception room and toilet along with 2 upstairs bedrooms and an en suite bathroom. The entire project was finished in just over 5 months and we remained in the house throughout. The work was completed to an extremely high standard and the site was kept safe and tidy during the entire build. When the work was finished we were pleased to find that there was not a single item that needed rectification. Peter Stroy builders was recommended by various friends in Hazlemere, so we were able to see some of their previous work. When we needed to carry out Kitchen and front extension work we had no hesitation in contacting him for a quote. Everything ran smoothly and to time, and if there were issues – Peter dealt with them quickly. He kept us fully up to date on a daily basis, what was happening and when. They managed the project well, ensuring that everyone worked as a team, so that it all came together at the right time and in the right order. All work was completed to a high quality.
The builders were excellent, conscientious, hard working and tidy and always helpful. Although it meant being without a kitchen, they ensured that we had the basics such as a sink and cooking facilities at all times.
Although not in the original specification they were able to build a new drive way to give the project the finishing touch.

Peter Stroy carried out a two-storey extension for us in May 2006, creating a fourth bedroom, which is en-suite and giving us more space on the ground floor.
We have been very pleased with the work carried out. Pete was professional from our first meeting until completion of the job. The quote was clear and concise and upon acceptance, a date was given when his team would commence the building work.
All of the people who worked on the site, from the bricklayers to the electrician, plumber and plasterer were helpful and friendly. They were respectful of the fact that this is our home and not a just a building site! The team always cleared up at the end of the day and the site was left as tidy as possible.
Communication with Pete and ourselves was good and we always felt able to talk through any queries we might have. Pete also took the time to talk to my neighbours to explain any possible inconvenience that delivery lorries might make, so helping to keep everyone happy.
The quality of the building work has been excellent and three years on we are enjoying our larger home. There were few snags at the end, but anything we found was put right straight away without issue.

Our extension, though modest, had some complex features, which included moving the main sewer manhole, but Pete and his team managed this and other issues with ease.
One of the many things that impressed us was the team of different trades he employs at every stage of the build and the way they all worked so well together. Pete’s experience of planning also impressed us with way he brought the different skills in at the right time to ensure continual progress of the project.
